A new rising star of cricket has emerged from Jammu and Kashmir. The man is Umran Malik, an Indian bowler. The man who bowls at a speed of 150 km/hr consistently in matches. Currently playing in Indian Premier League (IPL) from the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) team.

Personal Life :-

Born on 22 November 1999 in the beautiful valley of Kashmir. His father, Abdul Rashid, was a fruit seller and his mother was a housewife. He had an elder sister and a younger brother in his family.

His hometown is in Gujjar Nagar in Jammu. He dropped his class 10th studies to chase his dreams.

Let’s read his rise in cricket :-

He made his debut in the 2020-21-Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 18 January 2021 for Jammu and Kashmir. On 27 February 2021, he made his List-A debut for Jammu and Kashmir in the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy. 

In September 2021, he was a short term COVID-19 replacement for T.Natarajan by SRH in 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). 

He made his IPL debut from SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2021 IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). 

He came to attention when he constantly bowls at a speed of 150 Km/hr against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 49th match of 2021 IPL. 

As a result of his fast pace, he was selected as a net bowler for India’s Team in the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. 

SRH retained him in the 2022 lPL auction. In a match against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 2022 Indian Premier League, he took his first five wicket haul in T20 Cricket on 27 April 2022.
